Technology

WiMAX (or Worldwide Interoperability for Microwave Access) and LTE (or Long Term Evolution) are fourth generation (4G) technologies, that provide high speed wireless broadband services at home, at work or on the go.  Capable of covering whole cities with [super fast] broadband Internet access at speeds comparable to, or better than, DSL, WiMAX and LTE are the next step in the evolution of wireless broadband.  WiMAX and LTE offer the best available fixed, portable and mobile Internet experience covering entire geographic areas. WiMAX is designed to enable high speed fixed and mobile Internet access to a wide array of devices, including WiMAX modems for enterprise and desktop use, USB modems for laptops and portable devices, notebook PCs, handsets, smartphones and consumer electronics such as gaming devices, cameras, camcorders, music players and more. As the fourth generation (4G) of wireless technology, WiMAX is the first all IP based fixed and mobile Internet solution enabling efficient and scalable networks for data, voice and video.

LTE enables existing applications to run faster, plus make available new mobile phone applications. Enhanced video and presentation mobile phone applications may also be included.  Since LTE connects to existing networks, providers can plan for a seamless transition, and continue to use legacy networks as backups.

Spectrum held by Craig Wireless is technology neutral, offering exceptional flexibility to launch whichever technology (ie. WiMAX or LTE) best suits the market needs.
