The demand for broadband access has grown, and continues to grow significantly around the world, driven in part by the growth of bandwidth-intensive, Internet-based applications and services such as hosted applications, multimedia content creation and delivery, voice-over-Internet-protocol and data back-up and recovery. As broadband Internet penetration grows in developed markets, consumers in these markets are creating and using an increasingly diverse array of devices and applications. The proliferation of Internet applications has also created a demand for increased mobility of broadband Internet access services that allow consumers to do more away from their desktops, or to essentially take their desktops with them without sacrificing speed or functionality. As a result, Craig Wireless believes that subscribers are increasingly seeking economical, highly reliable, scalable portable/mobile broadband services.

The Coachella Valley is a large valley landform in Southern California. The valley extends for approximately 45 miles in Riverside County southeast from the San Bernardino Mountains to the saltwater Salton Sea. It is approximately 15 miles wide along most of its length, bounded on the west by the San Jacinto Mountains and the Santa Rosa Mountains and on the north and east by the Little San Bernardino Mountains.
Populated by nearly 600,000 people, the valley is part of the 14th largest metropolitan area in the United States, the Inland Empire. The Coachella Valley is the second largest sub-region in the Inland Empire metropolitan area, after the Greater San Bernardino Area.
In the region, Craig Wireless through its indirect subsidiary, Craig Wireless Palm Springs Inc. leases licensed spectrum in the 2.5/2.6 GHz band.
The deployment of fixed/portable wireless Internet over a 4G network is the primary focus of the company in the Coachella Valley. In 2009, Craig Wireless Systems Ltd. announced that it was commencing construction of a new 802.16e 4G network based on WiMAX-enabled technology in the Coachella Valley, California with Motorola, Inc. and Motorola Canada Limited as its equipment vendors for the network build-out. Craig Wireless Palm Springs Inc. completed an initial pre-commercial “first phase” fixed/portable network deployment prior to the end of 2009.

In 2005, the Craig Wireless Group purchased a spectrum license in the 3.5 GHz band covering the entire country of Greece.
The Craig Wireless Group has commenced deployment of a 4G-enabled network in Greece, with launch expected in early 2010.
Norway
Norway is a member of the European Union and has a population of approximately 4,858,200 people. According to the 2010 United Nations Development Program, Norway boasts the highest quality of life on the globe and it is also a wildly beautiful country of snow-capped mountains and deep glacier-carved fjords. This technologically advanced nation is rich in petroleum and hydroelectric energy.
In November 2007, Craig Wireless Systems Ltd. acquired a license of spectrum rights in the 2.5 / 2.6 GHz spectrum band covering the entire country of Norway.
New Zealand
New Zealand, about 1,250 mi (2,012 km) southeast of Australia, consists of two main islands and a number of smaller outlying islands and has a total land area of 103,000 square miles, similar in land area to Japan or Britain. New Zealand's resident population at 30 June 2008 was estimated at 4,360,566. New Zealand has a highly urbanized population with around 72% of the resident population living in urban entities with 30,000 or more people. Over half of all New Zealanders (53%) live in the four main urban areas of Auckland, Hamilton, Wellington and Christchurch.
In December 2007, Craig Wireless Systems Ltd. acquired a license for spectrum management rights for the entire country of New Zealand, in the 2.5 / 2.6 GHz spectrum band. The rights under the New Zealand spectrum management rights commenced in 2009.
